The choir welcomed several new members after the winter break, including Michael Fayton, our latest Fassett Fellow.
Michael has been involved in choral singing most of his life. He was part of the RI All State Junior and Senior choirs for 6 years. He was also chosen to represent RI at the NAfME All National and All Eastern Choir conferences. Michael sang with the Junior Providence Singers for 2 seasons as well as the Providence Singers during his undergrad. He graduated from RIC with his BA and is currently finishing his Masters Degree in Music Education. Michael currently provides private lessons in both voice and piano. He proudly serves as the President of Choirs at Rhode Island College and continues to share his passion and excitement for choral music with those around him.

Fassett Fellowships are awarded to students of exceptional musical ability to encourage their participation in choral singing. This fund was created in honor of Charles Fassett, the choir's first artistic director and a passionate advocate for music education.
